Why go out for pasta tonight? With the KitchenAid pasta attachment you can turn any KitchenAid stand mixer into a wonderful pasta meal. You can make all types of pasta in different shapes and varying thickness. Make thin or thick spaghetti, macaroni, egg noodles and lasagna noodles.

The kit includes the grinder body, grinding worm, and five small plastic circular plates that shape the pasta. Also included in the kit is a plastic wrench tool, metal bowl clips, cleaning tools and a storage case to store the pasta plates.

To use the KitchenAid pasta attachment once attached correctly and securely, turn the mixer to speed 10. You will feed walnut sized pieces of dough into the hopper, and the dough should self feed.

As mentioned there are five pasta plates that come with the KitchenAid pasta attachment kit.

• Plates 1 and 2 are thin and thick spaghetti. The extrusion length is 24 cm. Lay on flat surface and separate at once. You can use immediately or air dry for storage.
• Plate 3 is flat noodles also with an extrusion length of 24 cm. Like the spaghetti, lay flat to dry and use immediately.
• Plate 4 is macaroni with extrusion length of 15 to 20 cm. Lay on flat surface to separate immediately. It is best cook macaroni within four hours.
• Plate 5 is lasagna with extrusion length of 28 to 30 cm. Partially dry on towel. You can cook within four hours of freeze in aluminum foil.

The manual with the KitchenAid pasta attachment includes recipes for confetti pasta salad, spinach lasagna roll-ups, and basic egg noodle pasta.
